The floating village at Kompong Luong made an interesting visit and is pretty much off the busy tourist trail. Everything is on water, Ice factory, petrol station, fish farms, barber shop, church, machine shops, PUB even a crocodile farm! During the Dry season the whole town is towed further out, one structure at a time to keep it floating and in the wet season they drift back towards shore . The buildings just sit on a platform of barrels and bamboo !! We hopped on a longtail and for a few bucks they give you the tour of the town . The lake is enormous; you cannot see the other side, it is a body of fresh water that stretches off in all directions to the horizon.
